Tesco Mobile
Smile, you’re on Tesco Mobile
To promote their European roaming offer over the summer Tesco Mobile produced a fully integrated campaign, spearheaded by a TV ad but including press, three Virtual Reality films (one featuring TOWIE's Mark Wright white water rafting in Croatia) plus a whole bunch of fun social content. All to prove just how much you can share when you're not being crippled by mobile roaming fees.
OAK FURNITURE LAND
Got wood?
Oak Furnitureland have, lots of it. I first developed this campaign for the UK's largest manufacturer and retailer of solid hardwood furniture back in 2013. After the initial burst proved hugely successful in uplifting sales, it went off piste when left to the production company. I was then called back in to put it back on track and acted as in-house Creative Director for 6 months.
The new work, headed up by ‘No Veneer in ‘Ere!’ helped it gain second place in Campaign’s Adwatch of the year 2017.
STROKE AWARENESS
You need to act F.A.S.T
This campaign for the NHS has had a huge impact on people and, as a result, the amount of 999 calls where patients have been correctly diagnosed as suffering a stroke. In fact, it’s been named as 'the most effective piece of public health advertising ever made'. You can read why here.
Awards: IPA Effectiveness Gold
MARIE CURIE CANCER CARE
In a radical step for Marie Curie, we persuaded them to stop hiding behind happy pictures of nurses and tell people exactly what they do. They provide end of life care for people dying of cancer so they can die at home. A tough buy for them, but one that increased their donations by over £10m in the campaign’s first year.
Awards: CBS Underground Writer Finalist, IPA Best of Health-Best Writing, Creative Circle Bronze.
BURGER KING
Got the Urge?
A couple of fun spots for BK, one caused the stuntman to have 3 stitches, one raised a few objections. And if you scroll down, you can see a cheeky one that only the privileged few have ever seen.
